1. Some women like a six pack. A lot of women don’t.
In fact, getting women to like you has nothing to do with having ripped abs. Most women actually care about what is between your ears more than what is under your t-shirt.
Not all, but most 🙂
2. Never judge a book by it’s cover.
I remember my dad saying that to me so many times and every now and then I’m reminded of that still to this day.
Someone you thought was going to be a certain way because of how they looked turns out to be a great person and the opposite. Someone you thought was cool and really isn’t in your eyes.
3. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day.
If you like breakfast then eat breakfast. If you don’t, then skip it and eat when you like. What’s important is how you break your fast. The food choices and the quality of the food is far more important than the timing, and of course, the quantity matters if your weight is a concern.
4. Knowledge is NOT power.
It’s potentially power. You have to actually use that knowledge, take action with it and only then is it powerful. Reading, learning and self-improvement is the key but unless you act upon what you know it’s worthless.
5. Going to University is not the be all and end all, especially now you have to pay for it.
Many of the successful people I meet in all areas of life these days tend to be self-made and not university educated. I’m not saying it doesn’t have it’s place, I’m just saying there are many other options to be “successful” in this world.
6. Money does not make you happy or a better person.
It sure as hell gives you choices but if you were an arsehole when you were poor, you just become a bigger arsehole when you are rich. I see it all the time. If you are a kind, giving and cool human being then money allows you to be more of that.
A bigger house, a flashier car and a Rolex does not make you a happier person.
“Happiness is an inside job”
You choose to be happy and money has nothing to do with it.
7. Eating dietary fat really does not make you store fat.
Dietary fat has 9kcals per gram, which is over double that of protein and carbs (4kcals) but cutting fat from your diet is a big mistake. Too many calories of any macro (protein, fat, carbs) will make you store body fat.
8. Cardio will not burn all your muscle.
There is no doubt that when it comes to building muscle, burning fat and keep strong, weight training is the no 1 choice but doing cardio 2 or 3 times per week will not shrink your biceps.
Multiple extended cardio sessions like 10km and above ultimately won’t make you super strong and is not the best environment for building muscle but don’t believe the hype.
9. Non coffee drinkers cannot be trusted.
I knew it then and I know it now.
Just because 🙂
10. The key to happiness is not caring what others think of you.
If you are being true to yourself, you don’t harm others, who are they to tell you what or who you should be or how you should behave?
On that note, have a great day my friends.
Gav 🙂
