You gotta check this out peeps…
“For years I’ve struggled with my weight – losing some, then putting it back on, trying all kinds of diets and fads and not finding anything that worked consistently.
Over the past 4 – 5 years the weight crept back on slowly over time until I reached a point where I was at my heaviest and most miserable.
The unexpected death of my mum earlier this year caused me to stop and rethink what I was doing and I decided that enough was enough and it was time to do something about this to find me again.
I’d been reading Gav’s posts and newsletters for a while, and for me his sense of humour, and simple but straight talking style made him the natural choice for me to reach out to – so I finally stepped up and contacted him.
We took a good look together at what I wanted, why I wanted it and how we could approach it (I didn’t want to be out at the gym every night, preferring to exercise at home) and came up with the plan of action for how to get me to my initial goal through his online 12 week coaching programme.
I’ll be the first to admit that the day he gave me some macros to hit and said off you go, with no structured meal plans or diet to follow I worried! – if I’d not been able to control my weight with choosing my own foods before (and I’d tried limiting myself to 1200kcal per day) then how on earth would this work now?
With some reassurance though, I gave it a go, focused on hitting the protein and letting the rest follow, and it worked!
Almost immediately I started to lose weight, and not long after started to see a difference in my body shape, with comments from friends, family and colleagues spurring me on.
Gav doesn’t just focus on the diet and the exercise.
His coaching encompasses the whole person; your thoughts, your priorities and ways to improve across all aspects of life and for me this is the big difference – understanding why you do what you do and why you make certain choices helps you to improve and make better choices in the future.
Am I perfect at following the plan?
Do I have weeks where I know I’ll have drunk too much, or had too many carbs, or not been able to fit the workouts in?
Do I worry about this and give up?
Gav has given me the tools and knowledge I need to get back up, get back on the plan and to continue my journey and (to coin a phrase of Gav’s that has stuck with me) to become the very best version of me that I can be!
Cheers for everything so far Gav!
Word for word, no editing, no fluff and no making it look sexy AF, Stacey has done an amazing job but also failed to mentioned that she has lost 23lbs of body fat in just over 13 weeks at the time of writing this.
Now Stacey has a way to go still and has set her next goal on a further 20lbs by October.
I have no doubt in my mind she will achieve this, with or without my help.
If you are in a similar place to Stacey and the time is right for you, reach out to me and let’s have a conversation about what we can do together.
I won’t bite, unless you ask me to 🙂
